How to Build a Custom Analytics Report
The Analytics Reports module lets you create fully custom reports by combining any GA4 metrics into a visual dashboard you define.
Create a blank report
- Go to Analytix → Analytics Reports.
- Click Create Blank Report.
- Give the report a name and click Save.
Add report cards
Each report is made up of cards. Click Add New Card inside the report and choose a card type:
- Metric Card — A single KPI number (e.g., Total Sessions).
- Bar Chart — Compare values across dimensions (e.g., sessions by channel).
- Line Chart — Trend over time (e.g., daily users).
- Table — Paginated data table with sorting.
Use a template
Rather than starting blank, click Browse Templates to select from pre-built report layouts including:
- User Acquisition
- Traffic Analysis
- Conversion Funnel
- E-commerce Performance
Reports are saved to the
wp_agwp_analytics_reports database table and can be edited, duplicated, or deleted at any time.
