Setting Up the Onboarding Wizard
The Analytix onboarding wizard walks you through the five required steps to get your dashboard showing real GA4 data. It appears automatically after the first activation.
The 5 onboarding steps
- Connect to Google Analytics — Authorise Analytix via OAuth 2.0 using your Google account credentials.
- Select Analytics Property — Choose the GA4 property linked to your website from the dropdown.
- Select Data Stream — Pick the web data stream for your domain.
- Configure Dashboard Sections — Choose which stat sections appear on your Analytix dashboard (realtime, geographic, device, acquisition, content, etc.).
- Enable Tracking Code — Optionally insert your GA4 measurement snippet site-wide with one click.
Checking completion status
Each step shows a status indicator — incomplete steps are highlighted so you know exactly what remains. You can revisit any step at any time via Analytix → Settings.
Skipping the wizard
All wizard steps correspond to tabs inside Analytix → Settings. You can skip the wizard and configure everything manually from the Settings page.
Onboarding completion is stored in the WordPress option
agwp_analytix_onboarding_completed. Setting it to 1 hides the wizard notice from the dashboard.
