How to Create a Conversion Goal
Conversion goals map a GA4 event to a meaningful business action (e.g., a form submission = a lead). Analytix tracks how many times each goal is met.
Create a goal
- Go to Analytix → Conversion Tracking.
- Click New Conversion.
- Fill in the goal details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for this conversion (e.g., "Contact Form Submit") |
| Description | Optional notes |
| Event Name | The exact GA4 event name to track (e.g., generate_lead, purchase) |
| Conversion Value | Optional monetary value assigned to each conversion |
| Status | Active or Inactive |
- Click Save.
The event name must match exactly what GA4 receives. Check GA4 → Events in your Google Analytics property to find the correct event names for your site.
